If your child is absent from school, please call and send a note of explanation. All homework and classwork assignments must be made up. It is also very important that your child have limited absences. We do a lot of activities in class that are difficult to make-up. I will use appropriate discretion in determining when/what assignments must be made up by a student.
Students that have been absent need to refer to Ren-Web to see what they have missed. Once checking Ren-Web, it is the responsibility of the student to get the materials and further information about the assignment(s) missed from Miss Lindsey. I give one day to make up the work for every one day the student is absent according to the Franklin Academy Student Handbook. After that, the work will be considered late. All work, including homework, projects, tests, and quizzes, that are assigned before an absence are due the day the student returns. If you know that you will be missing class, please make every effort to get your assignments before you leave. Once you get behind, it can be very difficult to get caught back up!
